Does MMS look different on iPhone compared with Android phones?
There may be a slight difference due to screen sizes, aspect ratios and formats, but content will be fully viewable. It's not really an issue.
What file formats are supported?
For images, you can use PNG, JPG, JPEG, and GIF formats. We support MP4 and MPEG4 video formats, and you can use MP3 for audio files. Keep the size under 450KB. We recommend only to use vertical (portrait) or square images as nearly all modern device screens are vertically aligned.
Can my customers reply to MMS messages?
Yes. Your broadcasts deploy from an assigned Virtual Mobile Number. Note there is a monthly charge of $18.50 per month to lease a Virtual Number.
What happens if a customer doesn't have an active data connection?
MMS requires an active mobile data network or Wi-Fi to render graphic elements natively. If a recipient's device cannot fetch the attachment directly, carrier handling automatically converts the payload into an SMS message containing a secure link to the hosted multimedia file instead.
Does MMS cost more than SMS?
Yes. 35c per message (SMS is 8.5c) plus we need to set you up with a dedicated mobile number, which is $18.50 per month.
